Our Company History

Established in 1959, we could speculate endlessly about how it might have been. It could have been another Grade Organisation or at least a Delfont Empire.

Pat Vincent - founder Director of the Tower Agency (as it was known then) had his opportunity to head towards the glittering lights of London's West End but despite a brief foray into the competitive waters of the "Big City" entertainment business (he formed the Central Booking Agency, London) he declined to succumb to the draw of the Capital's "bright lights" and settled instead for the "easy going" life of the West Country.

His influence on the Entertainment business in Bristol and surrounding areas became formidable in the early years. PVA Tour Promotions included artistes such as Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Searchers, The Four Pennies The Ivy League, Matt Monroe, Barron Knights, Gene Vincent, The Kinks, The Moody Blues, Eden Kane to name but a few.

More recently we manage enquiries with any number of Artistes from Suzi Quattro through to 911 to include the like of Jools Holland on the way, our contacts allow us to deal at the highest levels within the Entertainment business.

During the Falklands War, much of the Military Entertainment "tailed off" and the Exclusive Management Company was wound down to concentrate mainly on the Agency section of the Group, incorporating the diverse areas of Corporate and pleasure entertainment, outdoor and indoor events, corporate hospitality, private parties and conferences.

This change bought with it a need to concentrate on specific areas of our business, John Hutchinson joined PVA and brought with him fifteen years experience of dealing at board level with Blue Chip companies. His business background and his own experiences within the music industry are a great asset to our Corporate Event Planning.
